Canterbury Pediatrics

We switched to Canterbury about 3 years ago and I can’t say enough good things about the doctors and nurses there. It’s an excellently run office and I wholeheartedly trust the professionals we see there, from recommendations to what specialists to see (all referrals have been amazing) and the recommended treatments for my children. They have great availability whenever my kids are sick and I plan to keep coming here as my kids get older! Love this doctors office!

Well, being kicked out for not following vaccine policies that currently are under investigation now. Mind you, we had one left, and they would not allow us to skip this last dose for something that my kid will not come into contact with for a long long long long time if at all. It’s all political, last year they were so accommodating, understanding but this year completely different staff. I loved going there, but after hearing and being told my claims aren’t backed my science when literally the CDC is saying otherwise is a slap in the face. Our kids are just pharma payout incentives. I even asked, if CT allowed religious exemptions back, would you honor those, and was told straight out absolutely not. Run! Horrible communication and RUDE NP. We are the customers and no matter insurance, race or religion we deserve adequate and ethical care for our children. Having an office full of people that don’t know why your child is there for a visit even though they scheduled the appointment!!!! Having a child with a illness is hard enough to cope with and then having a team of professionals that could care less about your time and effort to have your child seen and treated fairly in this society is diabolical. Just keep advocating for your children parents and move on to the next because there are great pediatricians out here.

Like many of the recent reviews, we are unhappy with the mixed messaging and policy changes without fair notice or consideration of our concerns as parents. We switched to Canterbury Ped nearly two years ago after our former ped office merged with a larger group. Initially, the doctors and APRN’s were very warm, welcoming, and were accommodating around our concerns pertaining to certain vaccinations. Our request to spread out or hold off on some initial vaccinations was accommodated. One APRN even told us that holding off on a certain vaccine up until the age of 5 was totally fine, and that our child would just need their first dose to meet the CT school immunization requirements.
