Cambridge Animal Hospital

I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Thornton and the entire team at Cambridge Animal Hospital for taking such excellent care of our girls. Both of our dogs absolutely loved Dr. Thornton and the staff. The entire experience was smooth, quick, and efficient, yet always delivered with a level of friendliness that made us feel completely comfortable. It was hands down the best vet visit we’ve ever had, and our dogs seemed to agree! The facility was spotless, and the care was top-notch. I highly recommend Cambridge Animal Hospital for anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

We had a very grouchy cat, Euonym, that the team at Cambridge Animal Hospital cared for with grace and kindness. Earlier vets were too afraid of our cat to handle her for even routine work (I don't blame them, she was a terror when she got spooked, which was just about any time she left our house) but everyone at Cambridge Animal Hospital didn't let Euonym's nonsense stop them from giving her her shots and taking care of her when she was sick. When, at age 17, she went into end stage kidney failure, they were clear, compassionate, and kind, both with us and our cat, and they made her death as comfortable for her as anyone ever could have, by far. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.

My dogs are young so it's mainly vaccinations and check-ups. (Thank goodness!) My 2.5 yo Cocker Spaniel, Doc, had his neuter done there. His little brother, Happy, will be going in soon for his. Everyone is nice, professional and caring. We love Dr. Thornton!

The facility is clean and they have an in-house pharmacy. I know places are busy and such, but compassion and empathy go a long way and should be required.Their bedside manner needs some work and they need to consider family centered care in my opinion. After our visit, we went somewhere else and the care was 💯 different, so I know it’s possible in this environment. They need to consider actually spending time with a dog to make them comfortable before jumping to drugging them in my opinion.

I can’t say enough good things about Cambridge animal hospital. We were with them for 7 years, and they took care of my pitty, shihtzu poodle, and alley cats. When my old cat passed away, they called to check in on me. They have many of their processes automated, which makes mailing in forms, getting meds, checkups, etc easy. Sad to have moved away where we can no longer use them. But y’all have a great vet in Longmont at Cambridge Animal Hospital!
