We were so fortunate to have my dad taken in by Calvary hospice care on his last days. His room was well kept. The nurses and staff were all attentive and supportive during our most difficult times. I wish there was a facility on Long Island to help serve this community as well!

My mother was admitted to Calvary in March 2025. She died in June 2025. To this day I still replay in my head how much my mother suffered here. I agree with another reviewer about the care on the 6th floor. The staff is apathetic and show no compassion. With the exception of maybe two nurse techs who would listen to the families concerns the rest acted like they couldn’t be bothered. Some even had an attitude like you were a bother to them! On the day my mother died we received a call at 1pm. We rushed to Calvary. No one was there to greet us. We walked into my mother’s room to find her cold body. All I can ask myself is how long was my mother lying there dead before they even noticed. My heart is broken that I lost my mother but the brokenness is compounded by the fact t

If your thinking about sending you love one here and your worried about their care and well being please don’t be. Prior to sending my mother here I was worried about where to take her. The whole time my mother was sick I was running around and scared of the care she was receiving at other facilities but here at Calvary I wasn’t . They are angles put on this earth to help those cross over . My mother passed September 2nd and the only time I saw her comfortable and not in pain was at this facility . The day before she passed the nurse looked at me and told me , keep coming as often as you can .. it’s like she knew it was time ,but I’m greatful she did . I miss her everyday but I never had to harrass the nurses to change her or the doctor to help her . May god bless you all.

My aunt was admitted on the 3rd floor for comfort care, and the experience was deeply distressing. She was screaming and crying out for water, and despite this being clearly audible from the hallway, no staff responded. I was on my way to her room when I heard her, and it was incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking that no nurse or aide checked on her. Additionally, both aides and nurses were openly gossiping and laughing in their own native language and dialect. The noise carried into patient rooms, disrupting what should be a quiet, respectful environment where patients can rest peacefully. This was not the level of care or dignity we expected for a loved one needing end-of-life comfort. I would not recommend this facility for hospice care.

This review is for the inpatient experience at Calvary, not their Hospice at Home program. I saw another reviewer mention their loved one was on the 6th floor and my poor experience matches theirs. When you see someone you love suffering and dying, only to be surrounded by staff that is apathetic and treats you like you’re a burden whenever you ask for something, that just compounds on the already awful and heartbreaking experience. You would think they would show more compassion to the patient and family during the patient’s last days, but no—they just administer the medicine and leave. Most of the time they didn’t event greet us or acknowledge our existence. The nursing team also didn’t take the time to understand the patient’s needs. Our family member was incoherent/ unresponsive when
