Burgdorf Health Center

This relates to a refill of a needed medication. I tried to refill an anthishistamine, only to find out that my insurance had added pre-authorization required. (why I'll never know) I IMMEDIATELY called the Burgdorf and miraculously got through to a human, who said others had been having this problem. It wasn't just me. I got an emergency two week supply and went home, figuring they'd do the override. Was I ever wrong. When I called again, almost two weeks later, the pharmacy said they'd called in a refill WITHOUT the Prior Auth. Off I physically went to the clinic and was Unhappy. Problem solved? Nope - THEY CALLED IN ANOTHER USELESS REFILL. They could call in one of those daily and I still couldn't get a single pill without the needed paperwork. Back I drove to the clinic,

It saddens me to have to leave this review about this healthcare center. I was a patient at Burgdorf from an infant, literally my entire life. I am now a parent myself and my daughter has been a patient here since birth, so I have history with this clinic. The services has been declining for some time now. I love Dr. O’Brien to life she was my doctor and currently sees my daughter and I really hate that I have to leave her care. I have been having issues with my personal care here, from not having the a doctor I can build a relationship with, to the lack of communication. They don’t answer the phone, don’t return calls, I have been trying to get a prescription filled for 12 business days and the pharmacy has also had no luck reaching the doctors to have them correct the prescription that t

This is the worst pediatric establishment I’ve ever come across. The culture is disorganized, slow, and lazy. Not to mention, the waiting room was absolutely filthy. The children’s play area was full of dirt, gunk, dust, you name it. Everything was broken and looked like it belonged in the garbage. The floors were disgusting too. To make matters worse, I spent an hour in the waiting room with an infant and toddler on the day of my children’s new patient appointment. The checking in process was a hassle as well. By the time we were called to see the doctor I was ready to walk out of the health center. Once called, the experience was unremarkable. The doctor made no effort to get to know my children. Called to schedule an appointment to establish care with a new PCP. Was scheduled for a few days later and told to come to the Walk-in Clinic. I received a confirmation call the morning of. I show up and the Walk'in Clinic is closed. The doorman says it's closed all week. I call the scheduling number while waiting downstairs for help and get put on hold for a solid 15-munutes so I just gave up and left.

Great doctor, but this place really needs to get it together. They are always short staffed every year I come for my daughters appointments resulting in very long wait times they want you to come 15 minutes before your appointment Time, just to sit there 30 minutes in the lobby after your appointment time.
