Bryn Mawr Village

I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere from the staff. Everyone walks around like they actually want to be here unlike other facilities I’ve visited. The environment was bright, comfortable, and well-maintained…Although I did notice the inappropriate relationship between a staff member (Unit manager) and another staff. Other than that Bryn Mawr is a lovely place, I will definitely send my family member back here.

Staff were attentive and helpful to my brother. Went into action upon our arrival getting my brother situated into his room. Physical Assessment initiated. I felt that I was leaving him in capable hands. H. B. Stewart

I had a really disappointing experience with Bryn Mawr Village. Staff were constantly short-handed, call bells went unanswered for long stretches, and basic care took forever. The place didn’t feel clean, with noticeable odors and poorly maintained rooms. Communication was terrible; management rarely returned calls and turnover seemed constant. Meals were bland and cold, and my loved one got almost no attention or activities. I would not recommend this facility.

We placed our Mom in Bryn Mawr Village for Respite care back in early May. It was supposed to be for 5 days but we were so happy with the care she received there that we chose to have her stay since she was in end-of-life hospice care. The staff is wonderful and very kind and caring. It’s not a fancy place, but what really matters is the quality of care which was above what we experienced in other local facilities.

Update: I tried to locate belongings , and was just hung up on before I could finish my sentence. I guess manners aren’t a big thing here. Unless you can be here 24/7 with your loved one, do not send them here. My father went through such a distressful time, I have voicemails from him begging for help. It would take aides a half an hour to respond, they were harsh with his fragile body, he missed three doses of his morning medication, and you CANNOT get through unless you try calling a minimum of 15-20 times. I never got any updates on his therapy, and upon discharge they left his catheter in, when it should have been removed. They didn’t discuss anything with me upon discharge so I had no idea they left the catheter, otherwise I would’ve had it removed or asked for a referral to Urology.
