Ive taken 2 of my 4 fur children here, like any parent/pet parent we worry about our babies. The 2 i brought in at different times of course are not the nicest when it comes to nails, which I did inform them, My female pitsky was diagnosed with a torn ccl which was mis diagnosed in Michigan. They were great with her, she was a little snappy but they got it done.. My 2nd in was a rescue from Michigan he had an ear infection and bad allergies. And needed nails done, and needs sedation. I give credit to these ladies they both had to be muzzled for this part, My pitsky has had horrible experiences with her nails being done. Shes been pinched multiple times, shes been clipped to short. And this is why she goes to the vet for this part. Ive tried doing the nails but its not happening. These ladi
We brought mom's elderly dog today to be put to sleep. Mom was so sad but it was such a blessing how sweet and helpful the lady at the desk was and we also appreciated Dr. Speck, he was so kind.
We have used this vet on several occasions. This past weekend our bulldog got into some unknown things at the ranch which resulted in her becoming sick. They took her in immediately and monitored her over night. Always a calming atmosphere and a love for animals. I know I can trust them with my pet and they give her the best plan to get her back to herself. Sweet vet as well as front of desk receptionist!
My husband and I brought my dog in this morning for SEVERE respiratory issues. He was grunting, cyanotic, and hypoxic. His tongue was blue/purple. He was gasping for breath. We were told to go home so they could observe him. Then, we received a call to pick him up and they handed several bottles of meds, but he still couldn’t breathe and was purple/blue and was using every part of his body to keep breathing. Dr. Speck said we just needed to give the time meds to work. He’s cyanotic?! This is an emergency! And he was just sending him home with scripts. We decided to go to the ER in Abilene but had to stop halfway in Coleman to get emergency oxygen supplies because his condition was worsening. At that vet clinic, they ran labs and an xray (that should’ve been done at the first visits since w
Dr. Speck himself is honestly the best Veterinarian in Brownwood. You can see the love he has for what he does.. However they still work on paper and pen system. I recently had to have an immediate, expensive, emergency surgery on my dog. Didnt hesitate. Was told not to worry about full payment and that I could pay it out. Mind you, this was the second time I'd been there with the dog. And the 2nd surgery that cost well over $1,000. I was told on both I could pay it out over a few payments. The first I did no problem. However the second time , I literally received phone calls every single day asking for payments. After I specifically told them I get paid on Fridays and would make a payment every payday until it was paid off. After a week of getting daily phone calls. I gathered what I ow
