Brookwood Skilled Nursing & Therapy

My mother got sent here. 1 hour of pt a day were they just sat and watched her do her own exercise routine and the rest spent laying in bed with bad wifi and a malfunctioning tv. She was lucky to get a shower once a week they are so understaffed. Only good things was they somehow kept things fairly clean and some of the staff genuinely cared and tried to makeup for the ones that didnt.

Brookwood treated me badly. I was sent there for rehab after hop surgery. I was left in bed from my arrival on thurs to Sunday when my family called 911 and was taken to er. At that time I was in renal failure. My call light was ignored. In the middle of night I called the admin to ask for help. My family had to call on next nite to get help for me. Water was brought to me in a used cup taken from trash. This nursing home.is as bad as they get! My complaints are many but space prevents my telling all.

If you are looking for a wonderful, family oriented place for your grandmother to live,this is the right place. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your loved one feels safe and comfortable. They have lots of activities going on daily, the food is delicious. They take time to listen to you when you have questions. A beautiful home with lots of room. You will love it here

My relationship with Brookwood began as I transfered there post op from total knee reconstruction in Norman. I knew very little about the recovery side of surgery and places called skilled nursing facility. I just hoped for the best and decided to go all out on physical therapy and living skills with such a painful surgery in an all new place to me and family. I may add 2w years prior I had a terrible knee injury. I did physical therapy 3 times a week for a year, so i knew what exercises were good and i knew it would here. Sometimes we need difficulty to push our limits in recovery scenarios. My miscellaneous observations are as such and in no particular order. Brookwood has improved so much in the last few months. The staff and leadership have made big changes, and it really shows. Great care, great environment, and moving in the right direction!
