Brookhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

My nana stayed in brookhaven for a few months and we are very thankful to all the staff that took care of her. We were always able to reach someone when we have questions or just needed help even late at night. My nana really got stronger and was eventually able to walk again after surgery. Its an old building but they really do take good care of their patients. Kudos!

I did a walk through with activity director. Kim. She was nice and helpful. The building needs a fresh paint job. Activity room a total mess. The total of all impression it it’s not well care for.. I appreciated the walk through. Not all patients have showers they are to a private shower room. The shower room wasn’t cleaned. I was hoping that this would be the place I could get help for sister in law. Very disappointed it what I saw, Rule of thumb. If they don’t take the building will they take of the patient. I read reviews and citations so this is a no.

My Aunt and Uncle are residents of Brookhaven. The food is good and served with happy attitudes. The staff are always willing to help and are encouraging.There have been a few times when there has been an issue with either of my relatives and Brookhaven always called and informed me. I feel that my aunt and uncle are being taken care off by people who care about them and I feel comfortable with the care they are receiving. I especially want to acknowledge Cory. He is very attentive and aware of their needs. He is friendly and genuinely cares about the residents. My aunt and uncle feel secure with the staff and especially with Cory.

Please do not send your loved ones here....my god daughter was sent to the hospital septic. She hadn't been showered, her hair was gross and nasty from not being washed, her mouth was caked with brown residue, her catheter was rotted(which caused her infection), and she was severely disoriented and her speech was limited. The hospital said it wasn't unusual for them to get Brookhaven residents in that state. Imagine trusting someone to take care of your loved one and they neglect them so bad, it almost kills them. They didn't even call to let us know she was in the hospital until 2 days later. We took her out immediately.

My brother in law stayed here after an unfortunate amputation…he was very pleased with the care and service he received and we as well. We never had issues and was very thankful he recovered well! We highly recommend!
