Bronx Treatment Center: 1250 Shakespeare

Most of the patients come here because they have to , not because they want to. You will never get them directly on the phone. You will get Essen call center. Then have to give them all your life information before they try to transfer you to them. Waiting room is tight . TV is off and you have a water cooler. Staff is helpful as they can be. Parking is impossible. Good luck

This is my second review regarding scheduling issues. I truly enjoy speaking with my therapist and appreciate the care provided; however, the scheduling process has been consistently frustrating. I had an appointment today at 3:45 p.m. By 4:40 p.m., I called the office to attempt to reschedule since I knew the office closes at 5:00 p.m. The gentleman who answered assured me several times that I was next and advised me to wait, stating he would call if anything changed. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call. Additionally, I was advised after my previous review to complete a survey, but the system would not allow me to proceed past the first page, preventing me from submitting it. At this point, I would like to discontinue services. Please remove me as a patient. I will call to

Highly Unprofessional. They had me today for a 2:00 pm appointment but then goes on to have me wait over an hour and a half, I come back at 3:45 pm, and they talking about there’s still 3 people ahead of me. Why have appointments then? Just switch to complete walk ins because you are wasting ppl’s time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPOT. NO PARKING EITHER. The West Side of the Bronx always gave me bad vibes…

Worse experience of my life. I called over a month to speak to a manager or supervisor nothing just promises of calls back and no one called I need a new place asap

The sad thing about this place is that I really like my doctor. Unfortunately, trying to get an appointment with him is the most frustrating experience. Now that I have a car, I am exploring other facilities because patients don’t deserve to be treated this way. The team never books follow up appointments, you can never get the people who can actually schedule you on the phone and they don’t EVER call back for an appointment. If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment, it’s because they randomly scheduled you for one and you get a text confirmation. Good luck if you can’t make the (not previously discussed) appointment! Because it is impossible to reschedule. It’s horrifying because Essen is essentially taking over healthcare in the Bronx but their treatment of patience is damn near malp
