Brigham and Women's at Newton Corner

I've been coming to this B&W location for many years. My experiences have always positive. I have had only good interactions with the doctors, nurses, lab, and front desk. Appointments take place on time. Rescheduling is not a hassle. Parking is always a breeze.

I use this location for lab services only and was quite satisfied with the experience. I see other posts talking about their large health insurance deductibles; note to you, by choosing a high deductible you are choosing a lower monthly health insurance premium. The value is just not there. In the current state of healthcare, health insurance premiums are just as important as paying the rent, if not more so. Boston and surrounding areas are quite fortunate to have the expertise and investments in health care infrastructure that the Partner’s organization makes. Yes, Partner’s charges more for their services but I would rather have them running a large health care system versus a Wall Street equity firm.

Don't even consider going here. Their approach to care is not patient oriented. It is system oriented and money oriented - you come in a distant third. They charge you up front. I paid $100 dollars for a consult at the vein center that would have then gone to treatment. My consult appointment was on a Thursday - and when I checked out to make a future appointment for treatment - I was told that the doctor I saw was only there on Mondays for future appointments. I told them I was never free on Mondays, and by the way - today is Thursday. So I requested to switch to another doctor for treatment - and they said NO - you have to see the doctor you had the consult with. He can see you in Foxborough. I don't recommend this place!! The people communicating with you are either in a rush or not friendly. And I got a bill of over $500 after doing the routine well visit without being informed that the blood test which I thought is part of the well visit is not part of the standard "preventive test" and therefore is not covered by insurance! I wish I saw some other reviews before I chose to come here!! Unlike the other people that commented though, my insurance company did not side with me and made me pay!!!

Me and my partner went for a routine physical for the first time on the date 06/29/2017, at the hospital which is covered under our insurance once yearly. Blood work was required by the Doctor. But no one told us how much will these test cost, neither did the front desk mention anything about the cost of running two regular blood test. After two weeks on the date of 07/16/2017, we received four different claims: two of them are for the body check: bill amount is $508 each, plan paid $264.25, amount due $0 (which sound normal) another two are charged by this hospital for the blood test: my(regular blood test+STD test): bill amount $3268; plan paid $1517.92; amount due $911.35 my partner's(regular blood test): bill amount $1240; plan paid $474.35; amount due $439.98 So for three tests, w
