Boone Hospital Center Outpatient

My mother had surgery here. My son had surgery here twice. I have nothing but good to say about the staff. Each time they have been empathetic and patient with my many questions.

Boone is becoming extremely frustrating. They do not call me back to schedule anything anymore and they have dropped physical therapy from Medicaid coverage. This is absolute nonsense especially following the closing of their mental health services during COVID. Boone has its priorities clear and it’s not the people, it’s money.

Had surgery and 2 day stay at Boone recently. My surgeon and the nursing staff were excellent. The nurse on duty my first night there was especially attentive even though it was extremely busy. Excellent care and service from all staff from nursing to food service to environmental services!

Dr. Scheidt and his team delivered truly exceptional care. He and his team were meticulous in addressing all of my inquiries and concerns. The compassion they demonstrated towards my child significantly alleviated my anxiety prior to his surgery. The anesthesiologist is deserving of high praise for his outstanding care and compassion. When my 2-year-old became distressed during our separation, he promptly comforted him and offered reassuring words that everything would be fine. His actions were truly commendable. I am deeply grateful for the comfort and reassurance provided to both my child and me by Dr. Scheidt and his team. Their efforts to familiarize him with their presence before the procedure were successful and greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

Friendly staff but the favorite phrase around here is it will be another 30 min then it goes down to it will be a couple more minutes. After my dad got out of surgery at 12:20 and told I could see him at 1 and 100 "it will be a few minutes, it will maybe be 30min" he was finally carted 200' to the ICU at 5 p.m.!! No business on earth would stay a float if they rain on a time schedule like this!!
