Boone County Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic

The doctor did a great job, got in immediately however the next day when I called and inquired about a cough I still had and wasn’t getting relief from the over the counter medication. I wanted to reach out to the doctor about a possible prescription, they said I would have to be seen again! I was seen less than 24 hours ago. Not great with follow up care.

We were in the area for a mini vacation, and my son needed to be seen. We were 300 miles from our doctor, so I took him here. I had lost my purse, and they worked with me. We were taken to a room very quickly. We did have a little wait after the nurse got our information, but everyone was nice and apologetic about it. My son received a thorough assessment, and they helped us find a pharmacy to get his antibiotics filled. The nurse and nurse practitioner were great!

We drove 30 mins to come here as our small town doesn't have a walk-in clinic on the wknds. The check in process was easy even though we were new patients. Staff were kind, patient and accommodating. They listened to our concerns. Molly worked with us identifying all the symptoms and trying to eliminate/pinpoint possible diagnoses through testing. Would definitely recommend. Great hours and availability 7 days per week.

Took 7 hours to get a phone call confirming my 2 year old has a UTI. By then, pharmacies are closed and she’s going to bed with symptoms even more painful. The walk in clinic collected urinalysis and then sent the sample to the hospital, which is why it took so long to get results. Had I known this, I would have gone literally anywhere else to get results for an antibiotic before the pharmacy closed. For reference, I checked her in at 12:00pm and wasn’t called for the results until 7:00pm.

Tried the walk in since getting a appointment with my children’s doctor is so hard, as she’s always booked out. I was told to take take my 10 months old and 2 year old to sit and wait in the car “as there is other “HEALTHY” people in the waiting room” I have never felt so disrespected and uncared about at a hospital before. I heard them tell another person there was up to an hour wait: it was about 85 degrees out and they told me to take two kids to sit in a car for an hour? I will never return to this hospital, we are even switching family doctors. I will drive the extra time to go to blanks, Boone county has no compassion and is unethical. They could of found a unused room, seen if the other clinic had someone who could see them faster, anything at all would of been better than saying i
