Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital

Dr. Wakefield did a fusion of C5 and C6 and C6 and C7. He did a great job and I’m able to turn my head now. All the staff, including nurses and patients care team were absolutely wonderful. Nurses Ann and Will were amazing. A special shout out to Martha. She took care of me my first night. It was very attentive. Her bedside matter is wonderful. All at all if I could leave 10. Stars I would.

My father was moved here after a spinal surgery. It’s very pretty and new but that’s as far as the good news goes. On average he would have to wait an hour to get help from any nurse when he would call from the room, including when he was required to have assistance going to the bathroom. The last time I visited, it was 5pm and his PT was supposed to come at 3 to get him out of his chair and take him for a walk. He was just left in his chair until we made a kerfuffle 2 hours later. I would not recommend your loved ones go here. It’s like this every day.

Stayed on the fifth floor for four days after a spinal fusion, and while everyone was excellent throughout the process there is not enough that can be said about the nursing staff during my stay. Lindsay, Martha, and especially Jillian were all phenomenal and just absolutely lovely to my wife and I. Also, the food has no business being that good, try the pancakes.

My aunt was there to have her Knee surgery they were nice while we were there but then they were suddenly in a rush to get her out because of a large snow storm that was coming and the wanted to close the floor down. They convinced us that they found her a 4.5 Star facility to go to but the facility was absolutely disgusting. It smelled of urine and feces. The nurses at the facility did not have any pain medication and wouldn’t be able to get it. I didn’t understand why she wouldn’t be able to get the medicine prescribed to her by her doctor after having a surgery so I called the bone and joint center to try to speak to one of the nurse managers to see what could be done. they told me that my aunt was no longer their problem and no longer their responsibility. I thought this was very disgu

Dr Naragatti is The Best ! He replaced Both of my shoulders, Was Kind and Showed a Compassion, Made small surgical scars. Unlike UCONN Medical that left awful scares 😱 😨. I'm very Grateful for the work he did.
