I went here for a sore throat on November 20th and was worried it might be strep. I was seen quickly, given a strep test (which was negative) and went on my way. On Saturday, December 20th, I received an automatic text message (see screenshot) saying I had a bill for $262 that would be AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED on Tuesday, December 23rd. When I clicked the bill to see the invoice description, all I saw was a blank space, so I could not even see what the $262 was for. The billing department is closed on the weekend, so on Monday, December 22nd, I called and asked if my insurance was billed. They said no, and took my insurance info. I recently visited a brand-new urgent care location, and it was an excellent experience. The entire registration process was done on my phone, which I found to be incredibly convenient and easy. While this was great for me, I could see how it might be a bit of a challenge for older patients who may not be as tech-savvy. Now that I’m an established patient, future visits can be scheduled just as easily through my phone, making the process even more efficient. I went in with a bullseye rash from a tick bite. Provider said I just needed one dose antibiotic......."Dosage and Duration: For early localized Lyme disease (erythema migrans), a course of oral doxycycline is typically prescribed for 10 to 21 days. CDC " I was given one doxycycline antibiotic when I went to pharmacy. So I had to go to another urgent care and receive the proper diagnosis of my tick bite and the more standard 10 dose of antibiotics was prescribed. Doctor confirmed I definitely had erythema margins. I questioned, Patricia Babbitt,PA-C, about this she said she would double check and never came back into the exam room. A nurse just handed me discharge papers....I was livid, as Lyme disease is not something to take lightly.
