Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital

I want to give a huge shoutout to the staff that worked with me at my hospital stay. Special thank you to my favorite nurses Nurse Jade and Nurse Greer in 3 East. From the time I entered the room, I was greeted with a welcoming smile and genuine kindness from the both of them. I appreciate your empathy, encouragement, helpfulness from the both of you. I genuinely love people and to be surrounded by others who genuinely love what they do and people while you are healing and restoring it means a lot. Thanks again for all you did for me and may you continue to be a light and a beacon of hope for others!!

Being 4 hours from home in an emergency medical situation is frightening. I was seen by 6 doctors and countless nurses and technicians. All were skilled and compassionate. Professional and friendly. When I was discharged, everyone made sure I had everything I needed to get home to follow up medical care. Room was very clean and meals were better than I expected. I felt very safe and well cared for.

The nurses on the Science Neurology on the 6th floor were wonderful. Skilled nurses to say the least! Caring attitudes that made you feel like you weren't a burden!! I had to get a spinal tap. I have never had one and I was scared. The nurse Jennifer immediately calmed me down and put my fears away! She deserves a Daisy award 👏. She explained everything to me and by the time the PA came in I was totally ready because I knew what to expect! Miranda was wonderful! Now I am sorry to say this but the ER experience was Terrible! To To begin with I was in the hall on a stretcher, I understood because you were very busy. Someone came over and asked me how I was doing, later I realized she was my nurse?? She was terrible! She didn't take my vitals and did absolutely nothing! She didn't tell me

The nurses and staff were wonderful. I felt well taken care of preparing for surgery and staying overnight afterwards. I was discharged with all the instructions and equipment I needed and more. One issue that we reported was the fact there was no cleared path through the ice and snow to walk from the Evelyn Reinhart Guest House to enter the hospital. We had to climb a bank of ice to make the appointment. It was reported to a few of the staff and apparently corrected.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Pellicane and the entire breast cancer team for the exceptional care I received since January 2025. From my first appointment through surgery and recovery, I felt supported, listened to, and genuinely cared for. They took the time to explain everything, answered my questions with patience, and treated me with compassion during a very difficult time. I always felt I was in skilled, trustworthy hands. I cannot thank them enough for the care, professionalism, and kindness they showed me.
