Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital

I’m sorry to have to be leaving this bad of a review. I went to this hospital recently for a suspected kidney stone. To start off the CT machine was broken. They started doing exams and wanted to put stickies on my chest for the EKG. I didn’t have a bra on and requested that they close the door to my room for privacy. And I was met with resistance. They REFUSED to close it. So my husband did. Absolutely NOT okay to ignore a patients request for privacy and not wanting to exposing themselves to the entire hallway. They then asked if it was okay for my husband to stay in the room. - of course it was. But… why the heck do you care now? When you were willing to show my goodies to the entire hallway of random people? Make it make sense. Due to my kidney stone and fluids backing up - infectio

The ER department and radiology department were absolutely wonderful to me . I would refer this hospital to everyone . They were so caring . You weren't just a number , they treated me like I was a family member . I was admitted last weekend and my whole nursing crew were amazing and caring.

My stay was a week, the nurses we re fantastic. When I pressed the call button day or night they were right in to see what they can do. They explained everything and always asked how they could help .

I understand that working in this sort of department is rough, exhausting, and overwhelming. As you can see while reading the reviews, more than most are 1 star, and the owner replies with the same generic response each time. Receptionist was the sweetest, doctor was kind but barely did a correct diagnosis. A nurse named Matt came in to put ear drops in my boyfriends ear, made it absolutely so much worse than it was to the point where he couldn’t even talk and he told us we could leave. Matt was so unprofessionally spoken, super rough with his patient, and had so much lack of empathy.

in the past going to rgh filled me with dred I believe a hospital is only as good as it's nursing staff and that requires true leadership this days rgh has Nathan i believe he is the nursing supervisor and the care and compassion his staff g ave me was overwhelming for its compassion and professionalism kudos to Nathan and the staff of rgh
