Body of Light Family Chiropractic

Body of Light Family Chiropractic was extremely helpful during two of my pregnancies. During one pregnancy my baby was transverse and during another the baby was breech (at 37/38 weeks). Both times I saw Dr. David and he utilized the Webster technique to improve the alignment of my pelvis. This helped with round ligament pain and ultimately resulted in my babies moving into a favorable position. The Webster technique may not work with everyone, but I feel it was an important factor that resulted in my babies turning head down. If you're hoping to avoid an external cephalic version, I would give Body of Light a call and set up an appointment.

Dr. Dave is fantastic. He came highly recommended by a friend and he has absolutely lived up to the praise. From the first visit he took the time to really listen and understand where my pain was coming from. I have seen him a few times now and already feel encouraged about the direction of my treatment. He makes you feel completely comfortable. This is the perfect place for anyone who might be hesitant about seeing a chiropractor. Highly recommended.

Short and sweet, I had incredibly painful shingles, passed out, hit my head on a tile floor. I had an undiagnosed concussion, via a PA at urgent care, went on a vacation on tranquilizers for the pain of the shingles, which also hid the concussion pain, got back in town and headed right for Dr. David Spears as the head pain and nausea were terrible. He has been carefully putting me together: a frozen shoulder and scapula, three ribs out, pain from my head all the way down my back and has been so supportive, gentle, and compassionate while working me through my body trauma. My family and I have been seeing him for years, since he first started his practice in Eugene, Oregon. Unfortunately, I had a pretty poor massage with Tricia. $150/hr is very expensive & the bed was very thin/flimsy and cold. Massage wise - she didn't work any knots. She didn't even massage my entire body. It was mostly hot stones placed on me and an oil (very oily, too oily) rubbed on my limbs (she didn't get the front of my legs or the front of my shoulders). That night and the following day, I had severe muscle spasms on my ribs. I don't think she knew was she was doing and somehow messed up something that I'll have to spend time healing. Unfortunate.
