BJC Medical Group Convenient Care at Chesterfield

I’ve had more success at urgent care. Very clean facility, not a long wait. But they are understaffed and response times are limited. They were supposed to call me back to call in a prescription and never did. I wound up having to wait and make an appointment with my pcp instead, which defeats the whole purpose of going to one of these. Just wound up being a big waste of time and energy while already sick. You likely won’t get the level of care you’re hoping for here. Suggest going elsewhere or sticking with your primary doctor.

We have had 3 visits(2 during after hours for primary & 1 for flu) & all 3 have been amazing. In & out within 15 mins & always been able to make an appt within a couple hours.

Clean facility and great alternative to urgent care when you can’t see your primary care doc and the nurses and docs are WONDERFUL! They get 5 stars! BUT I hope someone from BJC sees this and does some staff training for the front desk ASAP! There is a woman with dark curly hair who is SO LOUD. As I waited on my appointment, I heard personal information including insurance, reason for appointment and more for multiple patients. I was embarrassed for them because everyone checking in knew that the whole world was hearing their details. Hopeful this review helps improve this patient experience and ensure this clinic can elevate itself to patient privacy rules because currently, it’s a nonstop HIPAA nightmare! This location is absolutely ridiculous. I waited for MULTIPLE MONTHS for an appointment here. The day of the appointment, they call and cancel it, telling me I need to call and reschedule. The closest date, MAY. FIVE MORE MONTHS. I understand things happen, providers get sick or have emergencies and can't come in. There needs to be something in place so patients aren't being screwed over when that happens. They need to figure it out. Waiting 7 months for a yearly checkup is unacceptable. Treat your patients better, this is unprofessional and cruel. edit: everyone I spoke with on the phone about rescheduling was very pleasant! This is not about the nurses or secretaries, I'm frustrated about the lack of care for patients that are displaced by a doctor calling off.

Super nice staff. However, the standard of care provided is inconsistent. Dr at this clinic advised me to come in and start meds if I was showing symptoms of the same condition that has my wife in bed struggling for days. I'm considered high risk for this condition. So I go with same early symptoms and literally had to argue with the NP to get 1 of those meds. Needless to say I'll now have to go to another provider to get the care I need. Complete waste of time and money. But super nice about it!
