BeYOUtiful Adventures in Speech

Ms. Terri has been working with our son (3.5) for a few weeks and our son already loves and looks forward to their time together. He can struggle with new people, but Ms. Terri has made him feel comfortable and planned fun, engaging things for him!

Working with Terri Smock has been a breath of fresh air and she has improved my son's speech and language disorder 💯. We had worked with a few therapists before and while one was well loved by my son and enthusiastic, she sadly had to move away. We had not found a better fit so took a break for a little while but knew we needed to get him some help again. Terri's prices were competitive with all the rest we'd researched, and experienced, but what peaked our interest was that she was going to come to our house!! She saves me a trip out with my other children or having to arrange child care so that I can attend (or just be nearby for) his speech session. We've struggled to find a SLP who specializes in PROMPT therapy in the 513-area who *also* meshes well with our family and most importantly our child who needs these services. Terri is incredible. I have seen my 3 year old make incredible progress in just the short time we have been having sessions with her. She has a gift and such amazing patience. I highly recommend you try her out if your child has been struggling with communication.

Terri has nailed my son's speech needs spot on. Due to my son's diagnosis, we have worked with many speech therapists over the past 7 years. Terri has taken the step to look at my son's physical speech structure and where his speech level was at, then tailored his exercises and goals. Most therapist have their own methods to speech therapy and your child has to fit around their methods. She uses several different methods, including prompt, and is not afraid to combine methods. We saw a positive impact on my son's speech from day one, and with every session we see a positive impact on his self esteem.
