Berkshire Health Pediatrics at East Elm

My son just had an appointment at the office newly acquired by BMC and our experience was actually amazing. He’s been a patient at East Elm for 10+ years. We were first seen by a very competent nurse and got a call from another very competent nurse the next day with follow up (which was unfortunately not always our experience with medical support staff there prior to BMC). Then my son was seen by Dr. Asante. What an impressive sharp pediatrician! She made an immediate connection with my son. She was kind, thorough, thoughtful. She was able to hear very faint noise in his lungs and diagnose pneumonia despite the absence of typical symptoms that was later confirmed on the test she promptly ordered and then she immediately changed his medication to exactly match the strain of bacteria that ca

I have been with this practice for over 12 years now. I can not express how much I love Emily. She is kind, understanding, patient and amazing with children and parents. She goes above and beyond and will even make sure we as parents leave feeling stress free and confident in the care our child recieved. There is no one like her and I wouldn't change her for the world. Her care goes deeper than just basic needs, she will make sure your child is protected now and in the future. She actively listens to your concerns and doesn't brush them off. I love Emily

When my child was young this was the best office to go to. Now, they seem to be lacking in care. Last year I asked for a form to be filled out for sports. 10 days went by and I heard nothing. On day 10 I called and asked about the form and they told me they would try to complete it. Today I called at 8:19 AM As my child has a virus, Was seen in urgent care, And is complaining of chest pain. I left a message at this time this morning. It is now exactly 11 hours later And I have not had A phone call back.

We were lucky to get an appointment here for our toddler because we don’t live in the area so our child isn’t a regular patient. The receptionist was helpful and got us an appointment the day after we called. We only waited 15 minutes in the waiting area and another 20 minutes to see a nurse and she was really efficient at diagnosing our daughter. Everyone was friendly and sweet with her. My only suggestion would be for the waiting area to have some books or a few toys for the kids - there’s nothing there to distract with while waiting.

Been with this office for 20+ years now between Dr. Dallenbach and Emily, we always receive good upfront care. Emily has especially been wonderful to work with. My youngest daughter who has a lot of sensory gets nervous around new people and a lot of chronic illness. Emily make sure she fits her and works closely with her, she speaks to her and that she's comfortable and not overwhelm or overstimulated. This is very hard to find with Doctors and specialist, especially in this area, Emily make sure that she does not have to go see another dr or hospital if possible. She listens to our concerns and points us in the right direction to a specialist to figure some of diagnosis. We greatly appreciate her and her time. As well as the others that out patient and kind to all our children especiall
