During the visit, it was discovered that my grandmother had not been prescribed or provided the required blood thinners upon discharge from the hospital — medication intended to significantly reduce the risk of postoperative blood clots. As a result, she is now experiencing severe leg swelling and must undergo imaging to determine whether blood clots have developed. My mother calmly asked Dr. Thomasson where the breakdown in communication or responsibility occurred and what steps would be taken to ensure this type of oversight would not happen again. At that point, the interaction became hostile. Dr. Thomasson raised his voice, repeatedly interrupted her, and stated that the situation was not his fault. Dr Thomasson is an excellent orthopedic physician. Although he has never performed surgery on me, he has diagnosed my knee injury and hip problem on two separate occasions and referred me to a physical therapy location near my home to help with my problems. He’s a walking encyclopedia regarding his ortho specialties. He really knows his stuff and conveys it in such a clear and concise manner that is understandable to the patient. He is a fast talker so it’s good to take notes if you can keep up. And I must say, on the lighter side, he is a snappy dresser. His taste in attire is so fun; and quite honestly it’s a joy just to be a patient to a doctor who has such a big personality as well as a being great diagnostician. Dr. Thomasson was absolutely amazing, from the time of our first appointment all the way through to our final follow up he was so great. He put our son at ease, he gave us wonderful in depth information, amazing tips for home care and rehabilitation, as well as stellar recovery services. We definitely will highly recommend him for any and all orthopedic needs, thank you guys so so much!

Love doctor Thomasson! But everyone else there are not helpful. I moved from utah after having surgery and they would not see me even though i had been seen by him before. Apparently you need to wait 5 years for them to see you after having a surgery?

3 weeks after hip replacement surgery and I'm walking comfortably with a cane! I had an outpatient procedure with no complications and I loved that I could take a shower the next day! Dr Thomasson is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend him.
