Belvedere Nursing and Rehab

My dad was a resident here for a few months. During his stay, staff frequently struggled to manage his dementia symptoms, including wandering and disinhibition, which we were aware were challenges with his diagnosis. When he got aggressive because he was confused and believed he was being held against his will, staff did not communicate the situation professionally. Instead of giving me instruction or guidance, I was given fear-driven comments about the possibility of charging a man with advanced dementia with a felony, and was angrily told he could not come back. I was left in the dark about where he even was after this conversation, and didn’t know what the situation was until the hospital called me. I understand that these situations are difficult and potentially dangerous for staff,

My father was there for Respite Care through hospice this week. This facility is AMAZING! From the nurses, to the aids, to the janitorial staff, this place treated each resident as their own. We saw an aid painting the nails an elderly woman, staff just sitting and talking to lonely patients, and nurses treating my dad with such love. I would RECOMMEND this place to anyone - and I am not easy to please. Thank you Belvedere, for helping my family through this hard time.

They didn't help him, he got worse. Died 2 days after leaving. Will always be sorry I let him go there.

Administrative staff, nursing and therapist have no idea what to tell the family once they go home. They have no knowledge of what to do for care once released. Nobody knows anything and when I asked thinking they would have knowledge of care you can give or contact of people you could call or brochures of telling you what to do for your family member once you get home, they knew nothing. I met with three people and a fourth showed up later. Not one had any information as to after care once home. Me thinking they’re the experts and should know that’s why I met with them, but I know that I can look it up online. Search on sites and find what I need. Which is what I did, but I thought them being in the business. They would have firsthand knowledge that could save me The trouble of trying

This is a wonderful place. With my mom’s limited resources I never thought I would be able to place her in a facility this nice. My mom was formally diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 2 years ago. I never thought the day would come so soon that she would need 24 hour care. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here! The staff in the office was helpful and accommodating. The staff in the memory care unit are all wonderful. And with the public health crisis we are currently experiencing they have done so much. From visits at the windows, to FaceTime calls on their personal cell phones, they have tried to reassure us that she is I. The best hands possible. I visited several facilities in the area before making this choice and hands down, from the second I walked in for an unannounced tour
