I have mixed reviews! My dad was in this facilities care for about a week while he was dying from pneumonia and a gangrene gallbladder after suffering a stroke. Kylie was AMAZING!!!! She was so sweet and attentive if I ever got sick I’d want her as my nurse. Seriously highly recommend her. Tracy however I wouldn’t let near anyone in my family ever again not even my worst enemy. We spent every night fighting with her about getting his pain medications to make him comfortable for his last few days. She repeatedly rolled her eyes at us, gave us attitude and treated us like we were stupid. She kept telling us she had to “check” to see if he was in pain… again dying from pneumonia and a gangrene gallbladder of course he’s in pain. I’m posting this for my grandmother who demanded their excellent service be made public. See her writing below. “Bel-Aire Center - many folks love Hawaii or the Grand Canyon. While I understand that, my favorite place is Bel-Aire Rehab in Newport, Vermont. When my 87 year old husband arrived after surgery having spent 16 days in bed, I was worried. He was unable to walk and very weak. My fears were unfounded. This facility is spotless, spacious, and filled with compassionate and skilled employees. The food is delicious and the rooms welcoming. Upon our arrival, the administrator greeting us assuring they would take good care of him. They kept their word.” - Joan Simmons Craftsbury Common, Vermont.

This facility wouldn’t give my dad his pain medication as he was dying. He has spent the last 2 days in excruciating pain! He had to be taken to the ER to get his pain medication as he was dying!! He passed three hours later! This place should be shut down! I only pray someone doesn’t ever treat their loved ones that way! I will be reporting this facility! Along with others in my family! Please don’t take your loved ones here!

Thank you so much for your personal and professional care for my mother while she spent six weeks at your facility (March 23 - May 2, 2025). I personally witnessed tender and attentive care for Mom from the nursing (and physician) staff; the various therapists; the housekeeping staff; the dietary staff, and the administrative team when they would drop by. Her room was kept clean and freshened up daily. She was offered foods she preferred even if they were not listed on the menu for the day. My brother and I were allowed to spend as much time, day and night, with our mother as we wanted. The entire experience was one of aiming for the best quality of life and comfort at each stage of her progression. Your coordinated efforts as a joint professional team really made all the difference

When my grandmother passed away, I was treated poorly. My grandmother had passed away in their care right before Christmas, They wouldn't give me a whole lot of information, they sounded confused like they had no idea what they were doing or what was really happening. Had to ask 7 times for help to locate her items, got the response of oh we haven't cleaned her room yet. the response sounded like they were disappointed that they didn't get a chance to take the items they wanted to keep for themselves, also I have heard from a former employee that i trust with my life who worked there that they are serving their elderly people rotten food by cutting off the rotten parts of the food and cooking it. Also that person mentioned how most of the staff are poorly treating their elderly patient
