Behrens Pharmacy

Great neighborhood pharmacy! Everybody is always friendly, not sure how they remember, with probably thousands of customers, but they always remember my name, I always have a pleasant conversation with one of the owners, who always has a little piece of wisdom to share. You feel like you’re family when you go to Behrens! Not sure who the people are who’ve had negative experiences here, seems kind of impossible. You can’t make everybody happy, but behrens is a great family owned business. I’d rather give business to a pharmacy that remembers my name when I walk through the door.

When I switched to this pharmacy from an app based pharmacy, I was excited to use a local business! I had expressed to the pharmacist and store owners how grateful I was for their help getting my prescriptions set up and everyone seemed so warm and welcoming. That was well over a year ago (maybe closer to two years?), but I'm switching to an online pharmacy after a few months of struggles at Behren's. Firstly, there has always been a weird tone when I call to ask about when I can pick up my ADHD medicine. At some point over the last year, they stopped calling to let me know they've received my prescription refills/I could pick up - and I had gone without meds multiple times due to this and my forgetfulness - so I started calling to ask. This pharmacy is great until they fill your prescriptions and find a reason to discriminate against you based on your medication. A pharmacy that mistreats its customers based specifically on assumptions about their medications is one that shouldn't be allowed to conduct business at all. I liked them a lot; They were very kind and welcoming to me during all my visits until the moment I had my first prescription filled. Feels awful.

Simply the best pharmacy around. They are knowledgeable and eager to assist anyone. The pharmacy is also well-stocked. You are greeted with a smile upon entering and made to feel valued as a customer.
