My family member recently stayed at Bear Mountain for rehab after a fall, and I just wanted to say how much we appreciated the care they received. The staff were kind, patient, and always willing to answer our questions. It made a tough situation feel a lot less stressful. Thank you to everyone who helped make the stay as comfortable as possible.

I recently admitted my mom here, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. Let’s start with the food. honestly, it didn’t look very appetizing, and the smell was off-putting. The aides and nurses who came into my mom's room didn’t introduce themselves, which felt a little weird. The one person who really stood out was Natalie—she’s a total gem! She actually introduced herself and made sure to check in, offering help whenever needed. If you’re looking for someone who goes above and beyond, ask for Natalie! The rehab staff was fantastic, though! They made sure my mom got her physical and occupational therapy, and it definitely helped her get back on her feet. That said, the aides and nurses could be hit or miss. Call lights often went unanswered for too long, and when I tried to find someone,

This place is absolutely awful. Despite some of the staff truly caring about the residents, it’s not enough. My grandfather is both a fall and aspiration risk and is routinely ignored, laid down too low, and has had serious health issues because of the way he is mistreated. He has a horrific infection in his foot and has for months. We have never seen or spoken to a doctor. He is getting increasingly worse and has been since he got here. Currently as I write this I am with him as he is sitting in his own filth, waiting for a nurse to come while his call light is broken. I have spoken to the nurse and she said we have to wait. He is in pain. And it frightens me that his call light is broken and the nurse said it has been for days and nobody seems to care or be trying to fix it. He is an asp

My father was a a patient at Bear Mountain in Sudbury following surgery. Im writing on behalf of my father. I’m sharing our experience to help other families make informed decisions. On the night of July 10, 2025, my father who is alert and oriented x4 reported to the nurse on duty that he had fallen. According to him, the nurse, Felicia Ebika on the first floor, told him “You did not fall” and no vitals or neurological checks were done afterward per my father. My father confirmed this to me the next morning. (My dad has been in the medical field for over 40 years and knows what vitals signs and neurological checks are). On top of all of this my dad just had major abdominal surgery less than a week ago. We only found out he had fallen because my father called us that night. We tried to

My wife was admitted to Bear Mountain for short term Rehab for a broken ankle after surgery. The 1st and only night she was there, she needed to go to the bathroom. She pressed the nurse call button many times to no help or response. She had to pee in the bed cause she was unable to walk. Her bed was soaked and her urine even went down her leg and into her ankle boot and bandage covering her broken ankle. She repeated to press the call button to no avail. She used her own clothes to attempt to dry up her urine. She sat in her wet clothes all frigging night. She called me frantically and so I picked her up at 7am. So much for her rehab at Hell Mountain. I would not recommend it at all.
