Bear Mountain At West Springfield

Horrible place to put your loved one. My dad was there for rehab, barely got any rehab. Walked in one day he was shivering, no blankets no sheets. Reported to me that they would make them sit for an extended period of time and would yell at him all the time. he had an open wound when he fell on his hip after one whole month. It was still oozing because they had no bandage on it, and it was stuck to his wet diaper. I wish I had the money to sue them. I explained to them that my father ate everything pork chop steak they insisted him giving him mush saying he should have a soft diet. It was very hard on him because he came from Christopher Heights and assisted living that gave him love and support and then he went to this hell hole until I finally got him out of there cause I couldn’t take h

My mom was here for over a year and she received amazing care, I would recommend Bear Mountain to anyone looking for a place for their loved one, the staff is very caring to the patients and families.

Needed a place for hip surgery rehab. I choose Bear Mountain because it is a smaller facility with more one on one care. Not fancy, older building but more staff for individual patients. Easy access from Mass turnpike Would choose again.

If I could give them a zero I would ! Beware this place has NO HOT WATER guess the boiler is broken all the time ….. Poor guy told me it’s been two weeks since he felt a hot rag on his face (I had to microwave water for Him ) ! They have no towels blankets nothing due to washer and dryer being broken ! They are setting the staff up for failure because you have nothing to do your job . Hoyer lifts are broken ! No hoyer pads available it’s so disgusting !!! and the poor poor residents. If you love your family member do not send them here ! I’m surprised the electricity is on ! And not to mention as if all that is not enough the management is rude on top of it !!

My father who has Parkinson’s recently was transferred to Bear Mountain for rehabilitation, while there he was treated very well by all the staff. I had the opportunity to meet with several management team members, Marie, Trish Rich & Lisa to name a few were outstanding from day one. Always had answers for the many questions that we had, everyone went above and beyond across the board which brought our family peace of mind. The rehabilitation that my father received was top notch, everyone was wonderful..I know the reviews by many aren’t that great..but let me reassure..this place in our minds did everything that we expected.
