I just spent 10 long days at Bear Hill rehab. I do not recommend this place. The food is horrible. What you ask for is never what you get. The staff is neglectful for the most part. You have to keep asking for things over and over. You eventually learn to do without. If you are lucky enough to have one of the three superstars on staff during your stay, you will be treated with compassion and respect. They are “Ashley”, “Evan” and a nurse named “Walter”. All three of these people do the work of five others. Otherwise you get a bed. You are on your own. The PT and OT staff is hard working and efficient! It does not match the rest of the facility. The meds are often given very late, up to 3.5 hours late. If you speak up, you are met with annoyance or indifference. Mostly very unprofessional n

Sara Rao, the Activity Director at Bear Hill, has had a steady and positive presence at the facility for many years. Through an exceptionally challenging period-including COVID, frequent ownership and administrative changes, and significant resident and staff turnover, Sara has remained a consistent stabilizing force. She puts tremendous thought and effort into creating engaging activities that bring residents together and encourages meaningful social interaction. Her work plays an important role in helping residents stay connected, involved, and supported in their daily lives, which is essential in a long-term care setting. Our mother has been a resident at bear hill for several years. On many occasions Sara has gone above and beyond her role by personally setting up spaces for individu

My grandmother is currently in there. Really disgusted by the unattentiveness of the staff. My grandmother needs to be able to get up and use the bathroom. Two nights in a row, she has had to sit in her own urine because your staff does not pay attention to the rehab clients in there. Tonight your staff was at a taco party instead of bringing my grandmother to the bathroom and she ended up urinating herself. Two nights in a row, we have had to call there from our personal phones after her calling our cell phone to get someone to go to her room. This is unacceptable. Disturbed to say the least

Do not send your loved ones here. Dirty, poor staff, they do not care about their nursing home patients at all. Call button rings forever with no answer and when your loved one needs to be carried to the bathroom they just have to sit there and wait. Absolutely despicable the way they treat our elderly family. The smell knocks you over as soon as you get off the elevator because they dont clean it and they dont bring their patinets to the bathroom. My grandmother has an infection and wasnt given proper medication. The staff is horrible. I've read other reviews of them yelling at the patients. Do your research and if you can go somewhere else ,go there!! This place is terrible. They lose my grandmother's belongings. Guest bathroom is disgusting. We will be filing a formal complaint and if t

I think the nursing staff Monday to Friday is fantastic. In fact for the most part the aides are pretty attentive also. Weekends the place falls apart in my eyes. I go into the hall to ask a nurse something or try to get someone to change my husband and there is no one to be found. Also the people in the hallway on the second floor. (Birch) can not hear the tv that is on and no staff is watching them or trying to interact with them. O T could provide some figit items to keep there hands busy. I am there everyday usually 3-6 and I just see people begging out. They may not be able to join in in the groups going on but I think the could go to the groups and just be stimulated by their peers. Also the wall paper in my husband’s room is in need of repair or replacement because it is ripped and
