Dr Carnathian and Dr Castro are both excellent and very knowledgeable vets. I waited a year to get in here because they weren’t accepting new clients at the time. I am so pleased I finally did They are one of the few vet practices that are still privately owned and are about the quality of care instead of making you pay for a bunch of unnecessary things. Dr Castro saved the life of my 18 yr old cat Cleo. Dr Carnathian treated one of my other cats a month ago and I loved him also. I highly recommend them. They recently did surgery on my 18 yr old cat and I wasn’t sure she would make it thru the procedure. Once again they are just amazing. My Tyson went today, thinking he was at the end of his journey. Dr. Castro was so amazing as usual. Said hes not going anywhere. Just old. Not suffering. Prescribed meds. Trimmed his feet, loved on him. And instead of crying left there smiling. I love everyone there!!

Went for a 2nd opinion for surgery for my Australian Shephard. I had a lot of questions and want to make sure I am doing the right thing for my fur baby. Initially all was going well then the dr. Made a few comments that I felt were unprofessional and somewhat rude. As I was asking about surgery options I am also asking for pricing…. Dr appeared annoyed and made an inappropriate, unprofessional, somewhat arrogant comment….said they offer some type of payment programs however, “ you don’t look like you are destitute”……. Additionally, He offered some options to have some pre surgery radiology done at his office and told me the orthopedic office that would be doing the surgery would accept his films and it would be cheaper this way…. We love Bayshore Animal Hospital! We found them almost 5 years ago when we first got our pup. From supportive, knowledgeable staff, affordable procedures and having both a location in Ormond, where we started with them, to now here in Port Orange since we've moved to NSB. It is gives us such tremendous peace of mind still having them nearby and always ready and willing to help meet our pet's needs!

Bayshore is THE only option. All 4 of my dogs are treated and loved on Dr. Carnathan and Dr. Castro and the staff is friendly 100% of the time. It’s a blessing to have a vet that doesn’t minimize my worries but listens and reassures with kindness and honesty.
