Bay Vue Nursing & Rehab Center

I am quite overdue for this review, but it’s difficult for me to point out so many issues and problems with this facility. It started immediately when I got there that two different aids were very mean and disrespectful to my 85-year-old roommate well she asked for was to get some help. Her braid was stuck in her gown and her bed needed some fixing, and they both walked out saying no. To say the least, I was pretty appalled at such bad behavior, and I did make a complaint and much to my surprise A very nice woman named Shayla and then a gentleman named Peter came in to go further into my complaint and I’m pleased to say that both the eggs were reprimanded to an extent now they were very many times that I noticed small silly things but things that could’ve been made right such as a bug, a b

my sister in law is there and has had a bed sore since she got there, hospital says she needs a wound vac. 2 weeks ago !!! no wound vac yet ? the nurse told me she didn't know if they could put a rect.tube in so urine and feces didn't get in the wound, two weeks later she has to have surgery on the wound this Friday? why does it take 2 or 3 weeks to figure the problem out ? this is a stat situation that took over two weeks for any action ? I don't want to call an ombudsman, but this is dangerous for Mary. they do not roll her to prevent bed sores , I understand the Dr got on them ? I just think our families deserve to be treated better.

I wish I could have had a camera to record how much Bay Vue staff, administrators, business managers help us with our beautiful Bernice. Bernice is 92 years old This wonderful lady came down with Covid and she required to be admitted into a home sooner than we planned. While doing research we found close friends who mother been in the home for 5 years. They use terms like resident apartments, they welcome family and treats every one special. They are watching and making sure everyone is safe and special. Everyday Bernice is dressed and looks beautiful. We are so happy we found this home for Bernice.

My Mom was discharged back to the hospital, by the hospital after being in this facility for two hours. Bay Vue never notified her family and the next morning when we went to visit, we had to hunt down an employee, we found two in another hallway discussing last night's escapades, one of which told us she thought maybe my Mom had been discharged. We tracked Mom down at the hospital, however, never received her personal items. Further, I have left 4 messages for the social services "director" who has had a family emergency, been outside, in a meeting, and not available, after sending me a transfer package full of fabrications. The only two people who were far and away professional, were the director and head nurse. Every other employee should retake classes in professionalism.

I have stayed there twice for rehab due to illness or surgeries. The staff is so nice and the food is great!! It's clean and I was well cared for. I am having knee surgery soon and I will recover there. The physical therapy is wonderful. A great place to recover.
