Bay Pines VA Medical Center

Went to eligibility to transfer my records. The man at reception was nice and cordial. After that it wasn't so pleasant when I got to the eligibility specialist. This woman did greet me at all or acknowledge my existence. She had 2 monitors in front of her with about 6 inches between them. I moved my head to look at her between them and she just shoves them together to block me from looking at her. Didn't say a word to me till for a few minutes then to just state that I'm in bay pines system and acted like I was encroaching on her time. I told her I needed an appointment for a primary care doctor. Got my appointment for February, she gives me the appointment sheet, she doesn't say a word to me, I wait thirty seconds ask about another clinic, get the info, she doesn't ask if I need anything

Absolutely terrible. They refused to give family members an update and hung up on them when they called. The nurse barely spoke even broken English and was extremely rude when answering the simplest questions. Her manager is Mary Virabong who I am planning to complain to. I will post a follow up response. Recommend anywhere but here. These people must be democrats.

Words cannot explain how TERRIBLE the people here treated my step father... terrible is an understatement. The nurses and doctors here are incompetent, unethical, abusive, and treat veterans like they are less than a piece of trash. Our family is in emotional turmoil thanks to the doctors and nurses here... thanks for nothing, I really hope this place will get shut down at some point. These doctors need to lose their medical license. GARBAGE.

The team that takes care of the HopTel and accommodations for families is the very best. Thank you Janet for always being there for us.
