Basillote

As a patient here I'm extremely surprised to see any negative reviews. Dr. Basillote is great at what he does and puts the patient 1st every time. He's thorough and makes sure you understand what's going on. As far as staff, the ladies in the office are a pleasure to see! There always smiling and laughing. They light up when I walk in and they make me feel at home. My visits seem like I'm going to see friends instead of a Dr. The staff goes out of there way to deal with insurance issues and we all know that can be hell at times! This staff puts their all into their work!! I look forward to my next appointment every time I schedule one! thanks to the staff and Dr. Basillote for being there! 5 🌟

RE: Jay Basillote MD As a patient of Dr Basillote since October of 2021, I feel it’s imperative that I offer my opinion of his service and expertise. His office is staffed by friendly, compassionate people. This is a primary concern on first contact. The Doctor is affable and outgoing, is more than capable of dispersing any anxiety or misgivings a first-time patient might have. I found that his manner with staff and patient is such as to make a comfortable atmosphere for all. I know that all of our one-to-one discussions were clear, concise and to the point. I had an extremely distressing experience at Dr. Jay Basillote's office, located at 1086 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. My appointment was scheduled for 1 PM, but I wasn’t seen until 2 PM. When Dr. Basillote finally attended to me, it was clear he was rushing after seeing other patients before me. The procedure I underwent was a cystoscopy, and I was told by both Dr. Basillote and his assistant that I would only feel slight pressure, with no pain, due to the numbing cream he applied. However, when I asked if he needed to wait for the numbing cream to take effect, he assured me it worked immediately, which I found odd, but I trusted him as the doctor. I go all the way down there and they refused my insurance. The girls at the front desk saidthey do not take my insurance. I was flabbergasted and very disappointed. My appointment was made by nurse practitioner. A doctor in front of me. 2 weeks laterI also had to change my appointment on the phone and still was not told they did not take my insurance.I was with the doctor when she gave them the referral and accepted all of my insurance. Smfh. I asked to speak with the urologist and was denied. Mind you I had a broken leg and went all the way to their office. Unbelievable.

I can’t express how much I love this office. My father and I came in as a new patient ofc had to fill out paperwork. The receptionist told gave me short cuts in how to fill out all the paperwork for new patient. She took all my dad’s reports scanned them in and gave back the originals. Once we was called in, my father was so surprised how welcoming he was received as he was going in to the room to see the Dr Basillote. The doctor came in and explained everything with such care. I can’t give more stars because it won’t allow me to. I honestly say the staff was great and very nice. The check out girl is so friendly and explains everything so well. Great office. This is the place for your urology problems.
