There is absolutely no question about this - when the chips are down, you get to Barnes. There is no better medicine within 250 miles. World class doctors - no exaggeration. Consequently, if you are looking for routine non life threatening care, you might not want to choose this location. Some people offer hopes and prayers - this place is what hopes and prayers brings.
Everyone is so friendly! The receptionists, nurses, and doctors treated us like people instead of numbers. They actually listen. Dr David Clever is an outstanding physician. It's a long trip from Sikeston to St Louis, but it was worth it to finally get some answers. Thank you!!
I see NP Kyle Ogle here, and both the neurosurgery department and the radiology department have been wonderful. I feel welcome when I enter the clinic, and every member of the staff is kind and patient. I was in a lot of pain and getting the x-rays we needed was a chore, but the x-ray tech was compassionate and efficient, and we got there eventually.
My surgeon & his office staff were great! The outpatient surgery center employees were fantastic.
I like the specialists in one building. Parking is rough. Long walk from lot across road in walkway or long wait for valet parking to return your car. Edit: This year I was back for more scans at CAM. The check in process is complicated. Once you arrive there, you are required to check in three times, each time waiting in a different place. I do not understand why the check in process cannot be streamlined. The waiting room for the CT was small and crowded to the point that they had to ask some people to go to another waiting room. Elevators are very crowded. Fatima who was my radiology technologist was excellent. I needed X-rays in addition to the CT so I had to go to another floor and check in (only once) for this.
