Baptist North Emergency Room

My niece went to this Baptist hospital after feeling really bad. The nurse Angel was such a sweet professional and proficient nurse. She was on it from the time we arrive. She educated us in everything we needed to know about my niece situation. Her customer service skills and bedside manners were beyond Excellent!!!! She was so sweet and kind. ❤️ I'm so thankful.she was our nurse. Our Doctor, Doctor Horn was awesome too. I Loved the way they worked together to make sure my niece received the treatment she needed. The whole team that night treated my niece very well but Nurse Angel and Dr. Horn were Excellent. Thank you ❤️🤗

Called 911for extreme pain later they sent home still in pain. Said I had a 3 or 4mm ? kidney stone gave medicine to help pass it. This was on a Sunday by Tuesday morning called 911 again. Went to Baptist downtown this time and within an hour I was prepped for surgery The stone was actually a 5.2mm stone would not be able to pass it. I spent 3 days in agonizing pain. Spent a day and a half in the hospital downtown great people! I will never go to Baptist north again!

The emergency room is great, but they have enough land to build in- patient rooms, instead of sending patients all the way to Baptist South and Baptist Clay. Downtown never has any rooms available. Going way out there for loved ones is a 45 -60 min drive. Family members could die by the time we get there.

The service i recieved today was amazing came in sick and the nurse I had she was amazingly sweet I came in around 2ish and stayed to around 5 she should get a kudos for being so patient and caring. The Doctor i had was an amazingly sweet women she has brown hair I believe (wasn't feel great sorry if I got it wrong) she was wonderful I have had some complex issues as a black women with dreads; but she was so compassionate an carrying i felt like I should feel everytime I go. I felt heard had understood. She's amazing 👏kudos to the staff. Saw a bunch of bad reviews but today they did great. This doctor and nurse need a raise. The xray tech always said she was great so all around good service.

I wish I had better things to say but I went here because I think I herniated a disc and they offered me a Tylenol. So I asked to be discharged and three different people tried to convince me to stay. I don’t know if they get money for the “completion factor” of patient care or what. The nurse joked about holding me hostage and truly I really did feel like I couldn’t leave. I spent a pointless extra hour and a half waiting to be discharged because they kept trying to fear monger me into staying. I can take a Tylenol at home for free and not wait three hours to take it. On the positive side everyone that I interacted with was very nice, from the check in desk to the ER staff. I just think when someone asks to be discharged it should immediately be allowed.
