I have been to Baptist Hospital’s emergency room for my husband twice. The first time we were there for over 9 hours from the triage to the time he was discharged. The nurses were cold and impersonal and the doctors were in a rush. He had a CT scan done, but the results were not discussed with us. Later, we went to urgent care and the doctor told us after reviewing the CT scan results that he had an infection in the form of an abscess. This was alarming to us. Why weren’t we told this by Baptist ER personnel?! On our second visit we were there for over 6 hours from triage until we needed to leave because the entire process was too slow. The lack of concern from the doctor and the unfeeling nurses was just too much. Whoever is over the ER at Baptist Hospital Pensacola truly need to review

I am 37 years old and presented to the ER because I am experiencing progressive nerve-related symptoms affecting my hands and legs. I have had ongoing nerve pain since undergoing ulnar nerve transposition surgeries. My hand surgeon has advised that I need evaluation by a neurologist, and my primary care physician has also stated that I require a neurology referral as soon as possible. I am currently in dental hygiene school, and my fingers are losing control of instruments. Because I was unable to receive appropriate evaluation or assistance during this ER visit, I now have to withdraw from my program on Monday. This is devastating to me. I worked incredibly hard to get into this program, and I sought emergency care because I am afraid something serious is wrong and I cannot safely contin

I had a hard time getting to talk to a doctor but my nurses were all amazing. I had chest pain and fever and a bunch of other symptoms and didn't know what was going on. Turns out it was septic pneumonia and while I had caught it early I was not in good shape. Due to the chest pain I was seen urgently to make sure it wasn't heart related, and then I was quickly given antibiotics. I had to stay overnight and due to shift changes I rotated through 5 nurses. ALL of them were awesome. I was pretty out of it for most of the night but they all rocked so much that I made sure to ask for all of their names when I was discharged, so here they are: Kasey (RN ED), Taylor Paige (RN ED), Taylor W. (RN ED), Brent (RN 4th floor night shift), and Ashtyn C. (RN 4th floor day shift). I want to highlight Tay

The literal worst. There are fleas and trash all in the waiting area. Blood on the seats. Clearly hasn't been cleaned ever. They have people block every aisle with wheelchairs making the waiting room impossible to navigate. Wait times long, but they are long because this institution is unorganized. They called several people to the back while they were already in the back. They had no idea where their patients were which leads me to believe they don't communicate AT ALL. I am still in immense pain and they made me sit for HOURS while others who came in after me where seen. The first nurse I talked to diagnosed me with dehydration without labs or asking me about other symptoms. (Spoiler, it isnt dehydration). They told me something I already know which doesn't explain the pain or why I can

Worst experience I've ever had. They should be ashamed sending an 83 year old that came by ambulance for falling and not being able to walk who laid in the room for 8 hours to be discharged home that I tried to explain that my 88 year old father who has had 3 major surgeries in 8 mos one being a hip replacement that couldn't help get her out of my car. I will tattoo on my body to never take me to Baptist Hospital ....... There were people still in the waiting room that were there before us that are still sitting in the waiting room and there was 5 empty beds from the first turn to the left to get her room the entire time she was in there. So sad that our healthcare is all about the $$$$$ everyone gets their vitals and a blood pressure cuff along with an IV and put out in the waiting room
