I have worked in emergency medicine for over 20 years! I have never experienced such inept billing practices in my life! I have received 4 phone calls from this billing company that seemed more like a telemarketing company. They are trying to bill me for services they have not attempted to bill my insurance. After four phone calls they still can't get my insurance correct. They are trying to make me pay for a second pathology service which is obviously double billing. They continue to ask me to pay cash rather than attempting to bill my insurance! I tried calling the number given to me for a Baptist billing coordinator or supervisor but there was no option to speak with anyone! What a scam!
We had a wonderful experience with a billing representative by the name of Lauren. There was an ongoing issue with my insurance and double billing. She thoroughly reviewed and came up with a plan for resolving the issue. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and dedicated to her job. She kept us informed during the whole process! I did not have to make multiple calls to reach a resolution! She deserves recognition for her steadfast devotion to her clients!
Every single time myself or family members visit Baptist Health Facilities, the intake employees list us as self pay. We have Tricare. We pay our copay & get harassed with mail saying we owe the full amount (minus our copay). They send billing letters out even after they receive funds from my insurance company. Is Baptist double billing? Is there a glitch in your system? Is someone not doing their job during intake? I have also heard that this is a common theme amongst other patients, too. Please fix it, already.
I understand their job may be tough, but being rude and unprofessional should not be tolerated by this hospital
