We are finally coming out of flu hell so I can write this review. We came in Thursday afternoon with our daughter who had a fever of 104. There were two other families with a child in the waiting area, it did not seem especially busy. My daughter threw up on herself while we were waiting to be seen, and it took several minutes to get a barf bag and even longer to get anyone from behind the desk to hand us a paper towel. After about 6 minutes, someone came out with a roll of paper towels to start cleaning the floor, but no one offered us anything to help clean our daughter up. We had to ask for a roll so we could clean her up. We were not offered a gown or blanket so we could get her out of her puke covered clothes, we again had to ask for both. Easy to set-up an online appointment, front desk was very kind and precise. We did not wait long and the doctor and medical assistant were very great at their jobs and kind & caring during the entire process. I appreciated how the medical assistant and doctor paid attention to my son and directed questions about how he was feeling to him, even though he’s a teenager, it made him feel validated.
I would not recommend Banner. Every visit I’ve had there has been a negative experience. The customer service is poor, and the staff often seem dismissive of patient concerns. Instead of leaving with help or relief, I’ve left still in pain and feeling like my issues weren’t taken seriously. Patients deserve to feel heard and cared for, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here.
I came in genuinely concerned about ongoing shoulder pain that’s been bothering me. What I received instead felt rushed and dismissive. The doctor and PA barely examined my shoulder, offered a quick guess that it was probably a pulled muscle, and immediately suggested muscle relaxers. No realassessment, no curiosity, no care. I left with the same pain I walked in with only now I was also $100 poorer. It’s hard not to feel neglected when your body is hurting and you’re treated like an item on a checklist instead of a person. Medicine used to mean listening, touching, observing, and taking time. That didn’t happen here. I’m now seeking a second opinion because I don’t feel confident in the care I received. Paying that much to feel unheard and brushed aside is beyond frustrating. I expected
Provider was friendly and efficient. The waiting situation was annoying (this seems to be a common complaint, so here's my details) . We had an appt at 8:40, checked in, sat down in waiting area waiting presumably to be called back next (we were listed as 1 on the board). While still in waiting area, a Dad and daughter came in with appts at 9 and 920 (heard him state symptoms when checking in). I assumed no worries we are literally first on the list on the board, Dad and daughter are 2 and 3. Guess who was called...yep, not us. When we were finally called back we heard through the thin walls the Dad and daughter being treated. We all were being seen for similar symptoms so not like one was more urgent.
