I wanted to choose no stars, but had to choose one just to post this review. My husband received a pretty large bill from this pathology company that we have never heard of, after a visit to his dermatologist. Both of us have had multiple visits to the same dermatologist and our insurance company has always paid the pathology bill and we owed nothing so it was definitely odd to even receive a bill, much less a big one. The out-of-pocket for us was more than the doctor visit! That never happens. I started making phone calls to check into this and our insurance company said it was because they performed another test, along with the typical tissue exam. The company went out of its way to motivate a claim on my insurance. When they were paid only part of the bill they graciously forgave the balance. "There is no patient responsibility." Mar 2024

If zero stars was an option that is what they would get. This organization billed for services that were not covered by Medicare or my secondary insurance as they were deemed “not medically necessary “and those services were not requested by nor authorized by me. When I questioned this automatic up charge I got no response. I refused to pay for the extra services without an explanation and got none. Following that BallDermPath turned my account over to collection and has reported that to the credit agencies. I would avoid doing business with this organization at all costs. They are simply in it for the money and it shows - they are billing unsuspecting patients and insurance companies for unapproved services.
