Avir at Petal Hill

I have never written a review in my life but I just had to with this place, I was dropping off a DoorDash full of food and personal care for a ladies mother who is staying in this nursing home. I waited at least 5minutes until a lady slowly walked to let me in while’s she’s scrolling on her phone, I let them know I had to deliver the order to a certain older lady in their care and they immediately were mad about it and tried to take the bag and look through it as if they wanted to take things from her. I didn’t let them and offered to take it to her and the poor lady was just laying there staring at the wall with the tv on, nothing in the room, very empty, quiet and sad. There were 2 black ladies there mid 20s or 30s who were very careless and rude, as soon as I left the room I heard one o

The nurses and CNA’s here have so much compassion. My father was here until he passed and I could not have asked for a more caring staff. The. Building may be a little older and need some work but who cares if it’s not the ritz when it comes to having your loved one cared for what matters most are the people and these ladies and gentlemen are too notch.

Th most unsafe nursing home I have ever seen. I don’t know how they are still even open. Administration is unprofessional and doesn’t care about resident health at all. Nurses didn’t treat my family member, follow MD orders, or follow basic nursing procedures. Overall neglect in so many areas.

I have visited Petal Hill on several occasions and it has such a pleasant atmosphere. The Lady at the front desk is very knowledgeable and friendly and always dress professionally. The Lady in social service, I saw her interacting with a resident and it brought me to tears because she treated this resident as if she was part of her own family and I loved that. I was visiting this business to see where I could possibly house one of my family members and just by seeing this I definitely will. It is also a clean place. Also the visitors restrooms are clean. Thanks Petal Hill for making this a pleasant experience each time.

This is NOT the same place it was a few years ago. They have the kindest nurses and caregivers. It was CLEAN and NO smell of urine when you walk through the doors. From the front desk to the nurse we were meet with cheerful smiles.
