Avecina Urgent Care of Southside - Tinseltown

Went in quickly for a tetanus shot. Was pleasantly surprised that it was only $80 without insurance, and the wait was not bad at all considering I was a walk in and there were appointments ahead of me. I would come back if need be!

This is the first time I visited this location and the experience was great! I was able to book an appt right away and each interaction I had was wonderful! From Shea at the front desk, to Shequila the medical assistant and finally Samia the NP. All of them were so friendly and personable and made me feel at ease. I did not have to wait at all and was in and out in no time. I highly recommend this location for your urgent care needs!!

Everyone at this location was super super friendly and very kind and accommodating. I waited maybe 5 to 10 minutes max. The nurse and the physician were super nice and when I was leaving the same ladies that checked me in were just as kind and courteous. This place is definitely worth going to. I highly recommend it.

I was referred to Avecina Medical by a nurse through my insurance after my primary doctor couldn’t get me in soon enough for an issue I was having. Honestly, I was a little nervous about going because my insurance isn’t the best, and I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with certain clinics. But this visit completely surprised me and in the best way! Scheduling was super easy, check-in was quick, and I was seen by a provider within minutes of being triaged. Everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and efficient. My prescription was sent to my pharmacy right away with no issues at all. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. First thing- urgent care in a Saturday afternoon and in and out in an hour. Usually unheard. I usually always go to CareSpot. Not any more…if I need an urgent care center this is my new go too. Staff was very nice and courteous and the Doctor I saw was great.
