Avecina Medical Urgent Care of Normandy

My children have new insurance and we used to go to Carespot, but now we go to Avecina and I am impressed! We only waited 3 mins until my children were called to the back to be seen. The Doctor was extremely considerate to my children's needs and wants. She was gentle and showed compassion. I'm truly grateful! Thank You.

When I first heard of this practice, I thought of Avicenna (Ibn Sina), I was curious to know whether the practice lived up to the name. I was relieved to find that it does this and more. It is always a pleasurable experience. I receive the care I need without any fluff, and the staff is always patient first. Today, I received care at the location on Normandy. Excellent service! Efficient, accurate, and detailed. Thank you!

Avencina Urgent Care is, without question, one of the worst medical clinics I have ever encountered. The lack of professionalism, basic courtesy, and patient respect displayed here is alarming and completely unacceptable for any healthcare facility. The nursing staff I interacted with was overtly rude, dismissive, and spoke in a manner that no patient should ever be subjected to—especially when seeking medical care. The communication was condescending, hostile, and entirely devoid of empathy. Even more troubling was the way certain interactions felt biased and discriminatory in tone, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected rather than cared for. My experience at Avecina on Normandy Blvd was excellent! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They were attentive, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. The service was also impressively fast — I didn’t have to wait long at all. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

This was our first time using Avecina Medical for our kids’ sports physicals, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Scheduling the appointment online was easy and convenient, and the visit itself went smoothly. We’ll definitely be back! Side note: The front desk lady was exceptional — so welcoming and kind. I left a review the first time we visited over the summer after a friend referred me—we needed sports physicals quickly for my girls and couldn’t get into our PCP’s office before they were due. Fast-forward two weeks ago, when I needed to get one of my daughters in to see a doctor for a health concern after 6 p.m. Because I work late and our PCP closes at 5, I decided to try Avecina again
