Avamed Urgent Care

I visited AvaMed in Macon, Georgia and I like to say they have the best hands and very friendly staff. Coming from out of town, they made everything so seamless for me..they also offer some x-ray services so I did not have to go get those done elsewhere. Overall a very comfortable atmosphere with thoughtful and very skillful professionals.And they operate extended hours until 10pm also, that was really a catch for me!

I was in route from Atlanta to my home in Savannah. I had experienced some pain In my neck and shoulder and at the advice of my insurance company's nurse on call program, I stopped at AvaMed in Macon. I got there at about 6pm and they evidently don't open until 7. I waited I n the parking lot and finally saw a few people go in. I was checking in and the very rude receptionist who told me her name was Kim wouldn't even talk to me until she was able to inspect my insurance card. Her attitude was horrible. I told her rhat I had a service dog, (medical alert trained), and she said "even if I allow you to be seen, you I u have to put that dog in the car." I came in because I was not feeling well at all and received the kindest care and service. Everyone was very nice, pleasant and kind. Very clean facility. . Recommend 20/20 . Quick in and out and not a long wait time. The bonus they’re open after everyone else is closed!!!

Facility's online profile states they are open from 9am — 10pm on Wednesdays, when I arrived at 5:30pm they were closed until 7pm and therefore I did not receive needed care.

Avamed urgent care has been the best clinic with quality service and qualified staff. The organisation prioritise and value their customer as far as going above and beyond by closing at 10pm. I highly recommend this clinic.
