Autumn Lake Healthcare at Overlea

Nursing home/rehab. I am 53 years old here at Autumn Lake for physical therapy over a 6 week period. This place is definitely guided toward older people but a very short stay for anyone needing physical therapy is fine. The facilitates are mostly clean and organized. The food on the other hand is fine but for someone who had a massive stroke 2&1/2 years ago and a short diagnosis of type 2 diabetes I think it's a little to processed. My best experience at Autumn was the staff, they were awesome all the way across the board, always wanting and willing to help take care of you. GREAT PEOPLE!

There is a GNA named Terrell who is the most amazing young woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am at Autumn Lake Healthcare for rehabilitation of my ability to walk again after an 8 hour spine surgery. Terrell was on duty one day and saw me l lying in bed in a very distressed state. She checked me out and immediately had senior staff check me. I was immediately sent to the hospital where I spent a month. If it was not for her observation skills and care I may have died l. She is the greatest!!!!! She is an example of what to expect at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Overlea.

Autumn Lake at Overlea nursing home has been providing a caring and professional environment for my mother. From my prospective, the staff are attentive, respectful and they appear to care for the residents well-being. I give the medical staff five stars.

I really enjoyed my stay at Overlea. They helped me get strong. I came here for rehab and the team was professional and helpful. I want to give a special thank you to Bianca our Social Worker. Who really helped me with the discharge plan. I want to give a special thank you to Emma from rehab for really working with me and getting me strong. Vincent, the nurse practitioner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me I strongly recommend overlea!

Being in rehab is rarely enjoyable—you often spend most of your time in bed with limited physical or occupational therapy. But that was not our experience at Autumn Lake. The staff there were consistently kind, courteous, and genuinely helpful. The only downside was the food. Since my mother doesn’t eat beef or pork, she ended up with grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner on most nights. Still, everything else—from the attentive care team to the excellent OT and PT services—was far superior to her time at Rossville Rehab Center. There were even recreational activities, including Bingo, The Price is Right, and a monthly birthday celebration. Thank you for providing piece of mind for us and a place where my mother could recover comfortably.
