Autumn Lake Healthcare at Calvert Manor

Fairly nice facility, very upset that person I came to visit had to wait for 2 hours to be put back to bed and I had to go & ask to have the patient be put back to bed and magically three staff members appeared to put the patient back in bed. Amazing how quickly things get accomplished when you get alittle loud when you get asked. Shouldn’t have to do that and I totally understand that healthcare care facilities are under staffed, but when I went to the desk to ask the nurse for assistance the staff were sitting in the area of the desk , one was sitting back in the chair with their feet propped up on the table. I will give this facility credit that there was no overly horrid urine smell like they use to have. But the staff should NOT be sitting within eye shoot of the visitors view wit

Horrible!! Autumn Lake is consistently short handed and the residents pays the price. My mother has limited eye sight and received no assistance with her food.The medicine is often late by hours. If you need a diaper changed you may be waiting a while so you get to wear a soiled diaper. One day while visiting my loved one I noticed several flys on her when I looked under the bed part of her meal was under the bed from a day prior. My loved one was in the hospital with a very bad infection and went to Autumn Lake for rehab one day after she was discharged she was diagnosed with a U T I the same infection that put her in the hospital in the first place. On a positive note the therapy is good and on time. Autumn Lake runs way too lean, Autumn Lake hire more help it would be a win win for eve

I have experienced in the beginning the aides would leave her in a messy diaper for hours. Things have changed since she is a little more independent. The nursing staff have been excellent. I didn't want to take pictures because I didn't want to expose her.

My father just left a respite stay here a day early. I strongly caution anyone needing to leave their family member for a respite stay against this facility. When my mom arrived to drop him off for the stay, no one seemed to have any idea he was scheduled to stay there (they eventually found the paperwork but this did not inspire confidence), and the staff were unconcerned with my mom's explanations that because he has Alzheimer's, he has zero independence. They told her his room was down the hall and that he could look at the activities board for things to do, meals, etc. They said there was a TV in his room and a phone/call button if he needed anything. My mom emphasized that he cannot use a TV without assistance or use a call button; he cannot do anything by himself or without guidance

Wonderful Christmas Celebration!! Staff did a Super Fantastic job, to fulfill the purpose of Christmas!Love for others, and Christmas is still about Christ we can never forget He is the reason for the season!🥰
