There were physical changes to the office structure, however the office staff are always polite, pleasant, and very communicative. The assistants are very thorough and engaging. Dr. Pinckney is a excellent Doctor. He listens attentively and asks pertinent questions looking for significant information to help give you the optimum care for your wellbeing. I had an unfortunate experience when I received a transvaginal ultrasound due to fibroids with a nurse named Erin. I wish I knew her last name. Her demeanor was eerie, snarky, and cold. She did not properly introduce herself. She simply walked over, put lubricate on the tool, and entered it vaginally. Due to her lack of warmth and comfort, the procedure felt violating. After a few seconds, she abruptly removed the tool, squeezed lubricant on my stomach, and began an abdominal ultrasound. Due to her lack of communication, it felt awkward. After a few minutes, she pulls out wipes and simply lays them on my stomach, walks to the computer, and begins typing. Still no eye contact and no verbal communication. Just to seek clarification, I asked if she were finished with the procedure, still look

I had an appointment with Dr. Joseph Pinckney of Atrium Health Family Medicine on Couloak Drive. He is patient, understanding and one of the coolest doctors around. He listened to my needs and give immediate feedback and results. Dr. Pinckney is truly a blessing and an asset to Atrium Health.
