Atrium Health Cabarrus Emergency Department

I can't thank the staff enough for making our situation as comfortable as possible. My son had a severe case of the Flu and they made him feel so at ease. The lovely lady that handles the children and talks to them about feeling comfortable even bringing him snacks, a stuffed animal and iPad to occupy his time, she was truly amazing and I apologize for not remembering her name. Any time they were preparing for an IV or test she would come in to make sure he was comfortable and talkers him through everything that would happen. Obviously this time of year is busy and I appreciate the kind professional support of the entire staff provided .

The staff I dealt with was phenomenal. However, when put into my room with my baby, 2 cockroaches were found. 1 dead while the other scurried off to god knows where.

For the first time, I can say that I am very happy with the level of service I received while in the ER. I was seen within 45 minutes of check in. The doctor and nurses took exceptional care of me and addressed my condition and concerns. I was very unhappy with the fact that I had my bed transferred to the hallway instead of a room while waiting for an MRI and feedback from my doctor. To many patients are transferred to hallways because of lack of rooms which invades my privacy having to speak with my doctor while other patients can overhear is not acceptable and I was able to hear other patient conversations as well. Overall I’m happy with my visit and the level of care I received.

I was checked in at 1145 Saturday night, with probably 10 patients already in the waiting room before me.... At 4 am Sunday there was a wopping 7 patients in the waiting room. Once I watched 5 people go ahead of me, knowing they got checked in after me...I realized I was obviously of no importance to the staff. Absolutely ridiculous. No peak time, no 50 patients waiting....just pure laziness. I tried to ask the man bun at the front desk "what could possibly be a good reason why??"...I was told "the severity of the issue is probably why"....meanwhile MY arm has swelled even more from just sitting around for 4 hours. No excuse. Highly unsatisfied. I got up and left. I got no service other than vitals checked...bet they'll still want a cool $650. Uninsured=Unimportant i guess.

Went to this ER for severe tooth pain and infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and exactly one pain tablet. One tablet is not pain management for dental nerve pain. Being charged for an expensive ER visit, I left still in pain with no realistic way to manage it over the weekend. I understand ERs cannot fix dental issues, but sending patients out with virtually no pain control is not helpful care.
