I was pleased with the tour that I received at James River nursing and rehabilitation center. Ms. Flipping made me feel welcome and at ease doing my tour. She showed me the layout of the facility and the general function of the rooms. I was impressed with their physical therapy room. I feel that my father will definitely benefit from the resources and equipments. She also explained their procedures in case there’s an emergency. The facility was clean and orderly. The staff was very personal and I felt that they were sincere in caring for the residences.

These people have an extremely difficult job caring for our loved ones that we can not care for ourselves. When we first arrived months ago we did not know what to expect. You hear so many horror stories (just in general) not this place specifically. But they have taken great care of my father on both the Jefferson and Monticello wing. I appreciate all of these hardworking ladies tremendously. I have met a lot of wonderful young ladies and I wish I could name them all.

While visiting a friend’s mother in her nursing room at Huntington. I had the pleasure of meeting some great workers. The housekeeper and nurse were very helpful setting her up. I was extremely impressed by Ms.Marsha. She went above and beyond to make sure everything in the room was just right for her. She took the time to fix a hole and find the tv channel/remote;even tightening her wheelchair to make her safe. It’s rare to see someone take that much care in others or in their work. So down to earth and smiling. They got to know us. They all made a positive impression on me.

Idena Flipping is the nicest person you ever want to know. She showed me around the facility and had lots of patience and answered all questions. Very professional and and have never changed. She has always took care of my brother needs as well as make sure I am talking care of also. Thank you so much for being the wonderful person that you are. Because of you and other staff I'm very comfortable with my brothers stay here. Thank you so much for everything 😊

I was a hot mess when I arrived and a bit nervous honestly. But let me tell you that three particular ladies took me in and loved me up right away. Treated me just like family. They encouraged me when I was down and they SPOKE LIFE into me. I will forever be grateful from them. Nichole Ransdell, Crystal Fultz, & Christina Jones get deserves 10 stars. Love my girls they will be truly missed
