I am so happy my dogs are now patients at AAH! Your doctors and staff are wonderful, and your office is so well run and organized. I’m so impressed by the follow up with the office staff. They did everything they said they would do to set us up as new patients. They sent out all our samples. I received my test results. They remembered every prescription. Emails came that they said they would send! I did not receive this level of care with our former vet. I love the doctors. They took the time with me to discuss my dogs’ needs and they don’t try to perform or prescribe anything unnecessary. I trust they are knowledgeable and fair. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the staff. This clinic is nothing but a money grab. I made an appointment for my dog who had a very itchy ear. The office determined that she needed to update her rabies and distemper vaccines. After receiving these vaccines, the dogs spiraled into gastroenteritis, resulting in a hospital stay at Ocean State vet hospital. Ocean State was able to stabilize her relieve the diarrhea and vomiting and rehydrate her. After contacting this vet office repeatedly to speak to Dr. Hoffer, my calls have been ignored. The entire episode over a five day span cost nearly $2300. I brought a healthy two year-old dog to the clinic for an itchy ear and she ended up in the hospital. The advice I received for the itching was a diagnosis of allergies and that she should be given a quarter tablet of Benadryl. By the way,

I took my elder cat here today. The staff were extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. They were compassionate and handled her with kid gloves. Dr Hoffer showed me the xrays and explained her concerns and came up with a treatment plan to get her back on track. For once I feel blessed taking her to the doctors. I went home with medication for her. Tests don't lie. I wish I had found Dr Hoffer years ago. This Doctor definitely found her calling in life. This visit cost me less than half of what my last vet visit was and I felt like she was in the best hands possible. I will be happy taking her here for care. Thank you Dr Hoffer.

Our dog has been going here for his wellness visits since we adopted him. We were always satisfied. We have called twice recently regarding specific issues. When someone finally returned one of our phone calls a few days after the fact they could not accommodate us for weeks. Then my husband called and left another message. No one answers the phone and they do not return your call in a timely manner. They still have not returned my husbands call weeks after the fact, yet keep sending email reminders that our dog is due for a wellness visit. The last visit they cut the quick on my dogs paw and now he is absolutely terrified to even get his nails done even by the groomer (he never had a problem getting his nails done prior to his last wellness visit).
