Go elsewhere! This was the worst hospital experience I've ever had. The RN staff truly made my family feel that they did not care about patient care at all. They were endlessly rude, and acted as if they were being inconvenienced every time they interacted with us. Extremely unprofessional nurses, and our call light was ignored several times. The staff here seem to treat you as if you're interrupting their break time, and have no genuine care for patients at all. The ONLY redeemable staff here were the techs and the EMTs who were very professional, introduced themselves and stated their role. No RNs introduced themselves, or told us what procedures were being done, one of them was especially callous and so rude to us. I have a 23 year old daughter that has been very ill for the past week . We went to athol hospital for her to be treated. The waiting area was empty we were the only ones there. We waited like 40 minutes the nurse came brought us into a back room left us there for about an hour and a half the doctor came in my daughter is very sick so I was helping explain what has been happening. The doctor didn't acknowledge i was even talking to her.she left the room the nurse came in about 45 minutes later to start an iv she couldn't get the iv in trying over and over then it finally got in but was very painful for my daughter her arm where she put the iv was swelling she asked for them to take it out the nurse gave us a nasty look and was rude didn't want to fix it. I was talking to my daughter say

I went to the ER because my BP was elevated, and I am on medications for it. Apparently my BP was not high enough to satisfy nursing staff, they were telling me about patients with much higher BPs. I didn't realize I was in a competition. No compassion or concern, it was more like being dismissed as a waste of their time. If you do go there, you'd better be unconscious so you can't hear the personal opinions of the nursing staff. Very unprofessional, I wouldn't bring an animal there.

Trying to file a complaint for the terrible care and treatment at this emergency room is next to impossible. Patient advocate line does not return voicemail messages. The hospital nursing manager line...there's a message that they resigned. Do yourself, your family members and loved ones a favor and do not entrust the people in this emergency room for your care. If you have no other choice, always have someone with you to advocate for you and your health and wellbeing. Ask questions. Take notes. And take your complaints beyond the hospital administration.

Do not go to this hospital even if you are on your death bed. The reason I went to be seen in the ER was met with arrogance and insensitivity. I have no idea how the physician is serving as a care giver but he needs to be band from practicing medicine. 98 % of what he cared about had nothing to do with my injury. I felt demoralized and insulted by his line of questioning. To top it all of I was misdiagnosed and ended up in another hospital because my injury went sepsis. Protect yourself and your loved ones, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!
