Athens Limestone Hospital

Great medical staff and surgery facility. Staff took time and care to ensure I was fully informed of what to expect at all stages. Pre-surgery staff got all information needed days beforehand, making the day of surgery much easier. Even though I was outpatient, I had a dedicated room so my family had a place to wait besides the general waiting area while I was in surgery. Post op medical personnel kept me comfortable through recovery until it was time to go home. Nice facility.

The reason I gave two stars is because there were many amazing staff working here. But I had the worst experience with Dr Maples. She lied to me on numerous occasions. She doesn't consult with you. She comes in with pleasantries but mentions nothing about what's going on with you medically then turns around and walks away not giving you any opportunity to ask questions or seek assistance. I didn't even know our conversation was over until she turned her walked out the room. She doesn't say goodbye or I'll see you later I'll check on you later she just walks away and says not a word. I've never experienced such a thing. This woman has a 2.5 rating is Athens limestone hospital really that desperate that they have to hire a physician like that? Everyone that I encountered at Athens hospital was very friendly and super nice. I can’t say how much I appreciate their bedside manners….. superb!!! From the front desk clerk to my doctor, I had a wonderful experience. Thank you all for taking good care of me while in your facility.

I give zero stars for the ER help desk. I visited Athens Limestone Hospital on 2/23/26 around 6:00 PM in the Emergency Room with my mother for imaging. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was very disappointing. When we arrived, the front desk staff member, Topanga, did not acknowledge us and was extremely rude the worst encounter I’ve had with a person.I understand there was someone in front of us, but even after finishing with that person, there was no greeting. When she finally addressed us, she said, “What do you need?” with a very unpleasant attitude. I politely explained that we were there for imaging. She responded, “Okay, sit down, I’ll call you up,” without asking for a name or any information. When she called us back up, she yelled across the counter, “You can come u

Nothing or no one is perfect, but your staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. That's saying alot considering where I came from in Mississippi. I'm liking Athens, AL and the people. Keep up the good work you're doing and you'll keep us happy too. Bad attitudes and the don't give a hoot is not a place for already sick people. So far the people I have met at Athens-Limestone out patient lab and admitting have been wonderful, and they all had a smile. What a great way to start and end the day.
