Aspen Dental - Elizabeth City, NC

All staff members were great. My major complaint is how long i was there. I got taken back for x-rays only about 15 minutes from my scheduled appointment which was great. But the the waiting time for someone to come in after was quite awhile. I was there for over 2 hours total. Just seemed a bit long. Also the cost for everything they thought I should have done is extremely expensive and not do able. The person at the end telling me my "treatment plan" was not very helpful in explaining my options for payment.

This office is to worried about writing up comprehensive treatment plans than addressing the current need of the patient. I scheduled an emergency visit for next morning due to a broken filling with pain. They wanted to take X-rays , count teeth and made me wait almost two hours to meet with someone who says it would be 17000 with out insurance but 7000 with insurance for all they recommend. ma’am I simply wanted an extraction today not a work up! Left with no extraction and wasted 2 hours of my day still in pain no pain meds given!!! Stay away from this office

The staff was friendly. I was not told that I had to have a charge over $200 in order to use my Carecredit card. Fortunately I had some money on a different card. I had several X-rays and then went to the dental chair. I was there for a cleaning/checkup. However, I also was not told that the hygienist did not work on Fridays (Fridays are my only day off). A dentist who was substituting for the regular dentist looked in my mouth. Then I was finished and directed to check out. The person checking me out said that I could reschedule for a cleaning but would have to pay half upfront. I ended up just saying I would see if I could arrange a day off and call back. It’s been horrible from the start. It took them more than 2 months to get insurance fixed. I had to call corporate myself. Then they require you to prepay copayments prior to treatment. After paying, they tell me the earliest appt is 4 months away because apparently the dentist only does one filling a day. I was told I had to have a deep cleaning and my co payment would be $600 because insurance didn’t cover. Got there for appt and I was told it was double the cost. The receptionist was ok she didn't speak to me but to others. My nurse and doctors were so freaking wonderful. I hate my smile, missing teeth due to diabetes but they were gentle and genuinely concerned for me.
